Peugeot Tops UK Electric Van Sales
Peugeot remains the UK's top-selling electric van manufacturer in 2024, according to the latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
Peugeot's share of the electric light commercial vehicle (e-LCV) market has grown to 16.7% so far this year, up 2.7% compared to 2023. The brand's e-LCV sales volume has also increased by 12%, with 1,480 units sold. Additionally, the new Peugeot Partner was the UK's best-selling small van in June, capturing a 5.1% share of the segment.
From 2025, production of the fully electric e-Expert will begin in Luton, alongside continued production of the combustion van. The new Peugeot e-Partner is currently manufactured at Ellesmere Port, the UK's first EV-only volume manufacturing plant. Peugeot, along with its sister Stellantis brands, is the only manufacturer producing electric and light commercial vehicles in the UK.
2024 has been a successful year for Peugeot, with 47,219 vehicles sold so far, compared to 43,595 by this time last year. Peugeot's passenger car sales have grown by 14%, with 34,653 registrations to date.
In June, Peugeot's share of the electric car market increased by 1.7% year-on-year to 3.4%, and by 1.4% for cars and vans combined to 3.6%. Peugeot offers the widest electric range of any mainstream European manufacturer, with 6,911 electric vehicles sold this year – a 16.2% increase over 2023.
