Vauxhall is offering the new Frontera Electric and Hybrid at the same price, removing the typical cost difference between electric and petrol vehicles. The average price gap for electric cars is 31%, but both Frontera models start at £23,495 OTR.

Key Details:

• Range: Frontera Electric offers up to 186 miles (WLTP) with an optional long-range version coming soon, offering up to 248 miles. The Frontera Hybrid features a 1.2 turbo engine with 48V hybrid tech.
• Seating: The Hybrid model can accommodate up to seven people.
• Trims: Available in Design and GS trims, starting from £23,495 OTR.
• Offers: The Frontera Electric includes a free Octopus Energy Ohme Pro wallbox and installation or a £675 charging credit with Octopus Electroverse. Tesco Clubcard points are also available with purchase.
• Charging: The Electric model can charge from 20-80% in 26 minutes with a 100kW rapid charger. A one-year free charging credit at Tesco or the Octopus Electroverse credit is available.

Exterior:

The new Frontera features Vauxhall’s Bold and Pure design, with a rugged look, prominent wheel arches, and a distinctive Vizor front. It measures 4,380mm long, offering a larger boot capacity compared to an Astra Sports Tourer Electric.

Interior:

The interior boasts a modern design with a Pure Panel cockpit, two 10-inch screens, and a practical layout. Design models come with essential driver assistance features, while GS models add climate control, advanced seating, and additional convenience options.

Powertrains:

• Hybrid: A 1.2-litre petrol engine combined with a 21kW electric motor. Available in 100hp or 136hp variants.
• Electric: A 113hp motor with a 44kWh battery. The Electric version accelerates from 0-62mph in 12.1 seconds.
