Vauxhall has launched its latest media campaign, ‘Energising a Better Britain’, demonstrating its wide offering of electric light commercial vehicles (e-LCVs).
The new campaign, which goes live today, will roll out across TV and radio, supported by a series of print and digital advertisements highlighting the capabilities of Vauxhall’s electric Combo, Vivaro and Movano vans.
At the heart of the new campaign will be a TV advertisement featuring two of Vauxhall’s leading fleet partners who both have a significant number of Vauxhall electric vans on their fleets, British Gas and OpenReach, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to supporting the UK’s tradesmen. With the advert coming to televisions from 3rd June, Vauxhall’s e-LCV range will be shown across primetime spots on ITV, Channel 4 and Sky.
Vauxhall will also be a headline sponsor of LBC Radio’s Breakfast Show, hosted by Nick Ferrari, the most popular commercial breakfast radio show in London.
The new campaign will showcase the bold new design, updated tech and practicality of Vauxhall’s e-LCV range. In 2023, figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) showed that Vauxhall was the leading e-LCV manufacturer for the third year in a row, outselling its nearest competitor by more than double. Indeed, more than a quarter of e-LCVs sold in the UK across 2023 (29.8%) wore the Griffin badge, reaffirming its status as the UK market leader.
The diversity of Vauxhall’s electric van range is being increasingly recognised by a growing number of fleet operators, ranging from some of the UK’s major companies, such as British Gas and BT Openreach, to small businesses the length and breadth of the country.
Vauxhall is one of only a few brands (its sister Stellantis brands) to offer drivers the choice of a fully electric version of each van in its LCV line up.
James Taylor, Managing Director, Vauxhall, said: “Our exciting new ‘Energising a Better Britain’ campaign demonstrates the work we are doing to offer businesses across the UK with a practical range of electric vans to support them as they look to decarbonise their operations. With the combination of our new TV advertisement, digital campaign, and out of home billboards, we look forward to bringing our latest LCV models to even more drivers across the country.”
Vauxhall, alongside its sister Stellantis brands, is the only brand to manufacture vans within the UK, with the Combo Electric being produced at the Ellesmere Port plant, the UK’s first EV-only manufacturing facility. The brand also recently announced that the production of the Vivaro Electric will commence at its Luton plant from 2025.
